Nope! Every Final Fantasy game has a different story line with different characters. And even X-2 has its own storyline, you don’t really have to play X to understand X-2. It shows you what happened in that game and it kind of talks about it too.
No. Each FF game is it’s own game, except for X-2, which was the follow-up to X.
No for storyline, world and character development. yes for understanding the battle system better and know FF better like knowing the term ‘gil’ as Final Fantasies currency instead of dollar haha..but shouldn’t be too hard to grip it…been playing for a few hours and love the story!
