What cartoons did you watch as a child that your children watch now?

How about the remake of the old cartoons with the new way of drawing them (He-Man for one, and since they remade him, why not She-Ra?)?

Do you prefer to have your kids see the older versions or these funny looking newer versions?

My son is only 8 months old, so he doesnt really watch cartoons. We will have Disney cahnnel on while he plays and he loves Mickey Mouse! He will watch it at the beginning when they sing and he laughs and giggles, but then doesnt pay any more attention to it.
My niece (8) and nephew (5) don’t watch anything that me and my sisters used to watch. My niece was actually at my house visiting and she put a WII game in that someone gave me of the Acme characters and when she picked her character she said outloud "oooo, I want to be the rabbit!"
AHHH – she doesn’t even know who Bugs Bunny is…..sad :(

My fiance plans on brainwashing our son to watch Winnie the Pooh (the older versions) when he’s old enough haha. It was his favorite cartoon as a little boy and he’s determined to share that with our son…he has all the shows on video from back then.

As long as the cartoons are appropriate, i couldn’t care less if he watches those from when we were little or those that are starting now. It’s not about what entertains me…it’s about what entertains him.

The only one I can think of is Scooby Doo. The newer ones are a bit more sophisticatedly drawn, but not terribly different.

All my other favourite cartoons from my childhood, my kids hate :(

I am 28 and I LOVED Tom and Jerry when I was a kid.. That and Pink Panther and Popeye…Looney Toons… My son is 5 and he LOVES them.. We have our quiet time just sitting around watching these…

None that I can think of. I watched Care Bears and My Pretty Pony and I think those are still around. I hated Tom and Jerry and Mickey cartoons and Winnie the Pooh.

My daughter is strictly Nick Jr.

Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh are the only things we have I had as a child that they watch, nothing I watched as a kid is on the air anymore. I have VHS tapes of pooh and mickey that they like to watch. They don’t get into Scooby Doo or Tom and Jerry, haha. I watched the Flintstones, Jetsons, Rugrats, Doug, Rocko’s Modern life, Ren and Stimpy, none of those are on anymore.
