Sometime they have message boards where people post their art to get pointers on how to improve. Otherwise, I would go to Amazon.com and search for books specific to comics such as "Drawing Cutting Edge Anatomy: The Ultimate Reference for Comic Book Artists (Paperback)". Read the reviews and see what other artists recommend. If I could draw (and I can’t), I would find out if my favorite artists have a webpage and contact them for suggestions. Plus I would suggest books that show anotomy, I find finding the balance really hard and when you do you need to be able to project it in many differnt poses.
