What is a good website for ordering comic books in lots??
Like when I was a kid I started collecting Image comic books but only got like the first 3 or 4 of each and stopped collecting.
Now I want to go back and buy all the comics that was done for each - series like Newmen, Stormwatch, Cyberforce, Bloodstrike, Wildcats, etc...
Looking for a website that would sell me the first one through however many they made for that series.
Best deals too.
http://www.mycomicshop.com
It usually has alot of comics at nice prices depending on the grade you want and for those you listed should have plenty of the same series. Also deals on shipping.
http://www.ebay.com is also a good place just be sure to check seller's feedback.

In 1992, seven artists shook the comic book industry when they left their top-selling Marvel Comic titles to jointly form a new company named Image Comics. Out of the gate, millions of readers flocked to the energetic adventures by these creators, as together they ushered in the Image Age, where comics would sell in the millions, and a comic book artist could become a mass media celebrity. Image Comics: The Road to Independence is an unprecedented look at the history of this important comic book company, featuring interviews and art from popular Image founders Erik Larsen, Jim Lee, Todd McFarlane, Whilce Portacio, Marc Silvestri and Jim Valentino. Also featured are many of finest creators who over the last 15 years have been a part of the Image family, offering behind-the-scenes details of the company's successes and failures. There's plenty of rare and unseen art, helping make this the most honest exploration ever taken of the controversial company whose success, influence and high production values changed the landscape of comics forever.
With essays by Jan Baetens, David A. BeronA, Frank L. Cioffi, N. C. Christopher Couch, Robert C. Harvey, Gene Kannenberg, Jr., Catherine Khordoc, David Kunzle, Marion D. Perret, and Todd Taylor In our culture, which depends increasingly on images for instruction and recreation, it is important to ask how words and images make meaning when they are combined. Comics, one of the most widely read media of the twentieth century, serves as an ideal for focusing an investigation on the word-and-image question. This collection of essays attempts to give an answer. The first six see words and images as separate art forms that play with or against each other. David Kunzle finds that words restrict the meaning of the art of Adolphe Willette and Theophile-Alexandre Steinlen in Le Chat Noir. David A. Berona, examining wordless novels, argues that the ability to read pictures depends on the ability to read words. Todd Taylor draws on classical rhetoric to demonstrate that images in The Road Runner are more persuasive than words. N. C. Christopher Couch--writing on The Yellow Kid--and Robert C. Harvey--discussing early New Yorker cartoons--are both interested in the historical development of the partnership between words and images in comics. Frank L. Cioffi traces a disjunctive relationship of opposites in the work of Andrzej Mleczko, Ben Katchor, R. Crumb, and Art Spiegelman. The last four essays explore the integration of words and images. Among five comic book adaptations of Hamlet Marion D. Perret finds one in which words and images form a dialectic. Jan Baetens critiques the semiotically inspired theory of Phillippe Marion. Catherine Khordoc explores speech balloons in Asterix the Gaul. Gene Kannenberg, Jr., demonstrates how the Chicago-based artist Chris Ware blurs the difference between word and image. "The Language of Comics," however, is the first collection of critical essays on comics to explore a single issue as it affects a variety of comics. Robin Varnum, an instructor of English at the American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts, has been published in "Writing on the Edge," "Journal of Advanced Composition," "Harvard Library Bulletin," and "Rhetoric Society Quarterly." Christina T. Gibbons, an independent scholar living in Brattleboro, Vermont, has been published in "Journal of Regional Cultures."
Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Spencer Bridges is a fictional comic book superhero, a member of the superhero team Dynamo 5, which appears in the monthly series of the same name from Image Comics. Created by writer Jay Faerber and artist Mahmud A. Asrar, He first appeared in Dynamo 5 #1 (January 2007). Myriad is a half human, half extraterrestrial hybrid, the child of an alien woman and the Earth superhero, Captain Dynamo, from whom he inherited superhuman abilities. For the first 24 issues of the series, the character possessed shapeshifting abilities and went by the codename Myriad, though for a brief time he masqueraded as a female masked vigilante called Vigil, who exhibited superhuman strength, speed, and expertise in martial arts and acrobatics. It was later revealed that for some time, he had been taking an illegal drug called Flex, that granted him his elevated strength and speed, powers that remained permanently bonded to his halfalien physiology after he ceased taking the drug. How do I find a ww2 veteran I have a picture of from 1945?
I found my grandma's old picture album from long long ago. I had heard about her tragic love story about a man she married back then. They were married in Texas. She moved from Texas to Washington while he was in the war. The letters he sent were never given to her. In the meantime he thought she had left him and remarried. She spent the rest of her life broken hearted. I found a picture of him the other day in an album. He was a beautiful man and now I'm so curious what ever happened to him. All I know is his name is Gene, he's from Maine, met my grandma in Texas and was in the army in WW2, I think he was a sailor. How can I find out more about him?
The BEST thing you could do is to start posting pictures on the NET. Since you have NO last name the ONLY way you are going to find someone of this nature, (being of age, he night have passed on), is if someone recognizes him from the photo… There are military sites that you can contact for the navy. Maybe even go to a navy recruiting office to see if they have anything more that may aid in your quest.
This way old buddies may see the picture and go, “Oh, That’s GENE XXXXXXX” and supply you with a last name….
How do you know he wrote letters if your grandmother never got them… WHERE did your grandmother live in Texas when they were married.
Since most of the WWII vets are gone now. That would be a difficult mystery to solve. But possibly solvable….. Did they have a baby while in Texas? Birth records etc...

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Action Comics is an American comic book series which introduced Superman, the first major superhero character as the term is popularly defined. The publisher was originally known as Detective Comics, Inc., and later as National Comics and as National Periodical Publications, before taking on its current name of DC Comics, a subsidiary of Time Warner. Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster saw their creation, Superman, aka KalEl (originally KalL), launched in Action Comics #1 in April 1938 (cover dated June). Siegel and Shuster had tried for years to find a publisher for their Superman character (originally conceived as a newspaper strip) without success. Superman was originally a bald madman created by Siegel and Shuster who used his telepathic abilities to wreak havoc on mankind. Author: Miller, Frederic P./ Vandome, Agnes F./ McBrewster, John Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 188 Publication Date: 2010/12/13 Language: English Dimensions: 6.00 x 9.02 x 0.43 inches
DC Comics took a bold step and renumbered the longest-running monthly comic, Action Comics, to #1 for the first time since 1938 as part of the DC Comics-The New 52 event...
His face was a golden tan, with a smile that flashed you blind. His almond-shaped, electric blue eyes were breath taking. His forehead was covered with his ash-blonde hair that covered his whole head in different layers, wavy but perfect. He was well-built, with broad shoulders for a boy his height with a thin waist.
He is about 5' 2 at the age of 13.
I know you wanted a name, but that character is really dry and too perfect. Maybe give him a crooked nose, or eyes that show the grief from his childhood or something. Seriously, nobody is that perfect, unless there blind.
I would name him Mr. Perfect-Pants.
Just kidding, how about something simple like Kyle, Blake, Kevin, Adam, or Daniel.

I have been drawing comics ever since I was in 2nd grade. Now, the ones from 4rth grade and under are in safe storage and mixed up, but the ones from 5th grade to 7nth are organized in folders. Now, in 5th and 6th grade, when I would fill up one side of the paper with a comic, I would start to draw on the other, meaning there would be thick pencil drawings on both sides. Now, these drawings are 2-3 years old and they mean a lot to me, and recently they started to smudge. Some of them I have trouble reading. What can I do to preserve these drawings? I would like them to last a much longer time than 3 years. There are around 300-400 of these comics (a lot of drawing, but my poor grades at the time show that) Also, 7nth grade to now have only 1 side and they don't smudge.
Please note that there are over 300 of these comics, maybe even over 500. Buying fixatives would be into several hundred dollars for EVERY one of these comics. I need a cheap and fast way to do this. Thanks!
Fix mount spray or hairspray will do.
Alway do it outside though.

A hilarious and satirical debut novel exploring religious hypocrisy in an Irish grade school. Combining the spirit of Kingsley Amis's Lucky Jim with a bawdy evisceration of hypocrisy in old-school Catholic education, The Brothers' Lot is a comic satire that tells the story of the Brothers of Godly Coercion School for Young Boys of Meager Means, a dilapidated Dickensian institution run by an assemblage of eccentric, insane, and often nasty celibate Brothers. The school is in decline and the Brothers hunger for a miracle to move their founder, the Venerable Saorseach O'Rahilly, along the path to Sainthood. When a possible miracle presents itself, the Brothers fervently seize on it with the help of the ethically pliant Diocesan Investigator, himself hungry for a miracle to boost his career. The school simultaneously comes under threat from strange outside forces. The harder the Brothers try to defend the school, the worse things seem to get. It takes an outsider, Finbar Sullivan, a young student newly arrived at the school, to see that the source of the threat may in fact lie inside the school itself. As the miracle unravels, the Brothers' efforts to preserve it unleash a disastrous chain of events. Tackling a serious subject from the oblique viewpoint of satire, The Brothers' Lot explores the culture that allowed abuses within church-run institutions in Ireland to go unchecked for decades. The novel inhabits a space where Angela's Ashes meets the work of Flann O'Brien and Mervyn Peake, while providing a look at a regrettable era that still haunts many countries across the globe.

Anyway, which one would be best for coloring pictures like that?
I draw video game characters, anime/manga, and sometimes comic/cartoon characters, by the way.
You'd probably find PS easier to use if you're not experienced with either one. Most if not all of your examples were made in PS.
Photoshop is a bitmap paint program (like MS Paint). Great for natural textures and quick effects.
Illustrator is a vector editing program. It is good at creating sharp images with smooth coloring. However, you have to learn how to work with Bezier curves, not easy for first-timers. Everything in Illustrator is based on these curves (which can be refined at any time), while Photoshop works directly on the canvas (you have to erase or undo any mistakes).
This book explores the fascinating and enigmatic collection of 114 sayings of Jesus, the 'Gospel of Thomas' that was discovered in the sands of Nag Hammadi, Egypt, in the 1940's. Since its discovery, scholars and the public alike have been intrigued to know what the Gospel says and what light it sheds on the formation of early Christianity...
“What most distinguished these paperbacks wasn't their narratives but their frequently amazing covers, swashes of erotic eye-candy that, as surely as a Warhol soupcan, now define an era. And so the emphasis in this first-rate celebration is on the covers, with hundreds reproduced in what looks like accurate (i...
