So am I the only one who thinks the comics category would benefit from a division between comics and anime?

This board is overrun with anime/manga which isn't bad. But when a question about western comics is posted it either gets ignored or the answers are completely wrong.
@Bara Bara But the quality would increase. Anime fans that don't know anything about western comics give wrong answers all the time on this board. If there's a split there would be less users, but those users would be more knowledgeable on the subject

Why is manga in black and white but American comics are in colour?

In manga only a few pages would be in colour and the rest in black and white. With modern American comics the entire comic is in colour only the essentials are in black and white considering they are the first issues of a particular comic. Also why do most manga use the same type of plain paper while American comics have the nice glossy pages?

Where can I find a good tutorial for drawing comics?

I am interested in drawing comics, but I don't know if there is a method, either online or handheld book to help me. Are there any suggestions? I am mostly interested in Marvel or DC-like comics, not manga or caricatures.
Thank you in advance

How many who are into anime/manga/comics draw as well?

If you are a person who like anime/manga and/or animation and comics of any type, do you...?

1. Draw as well?

2. Are a serious artist or just a casual artist?

3. Do you buy art instruction books or videos on how to draw humans? What are some you have that are good or not?

4. Are you planning to be an animator or comic books artist, or are you one already?

#43 Ken Tanaka goes to Comic-con and meets a Suicide Girl アメリカのコスプレイ

kentanakalovesyou.blogspot.com I went to the San Diego Comic-con and met some interesting masked friends. I'll be at the 2010 comic con too. The comic con is the largest comic book convention in the United States. It is the Comike (Comicket, comic market) of the US. It's not just comics though, they have star wars, star trek, video games, hollywood movies, and many costumed cosplayers. They also have lots of special gets like my friend James Jean and David Mack, as well as famous comic writers and artists such as Stan Lee from Marvel Comics, Frank Miller, Neil Gaiman and many more. I visited the San Diego Comic Con and also the Los Angeles Anime Expo which is focused more on Japanese anime and cosplay.

What was created first manga or american comics?

I'm just curious because I'm a big manga reader (don't like reading comics but I love marvel and dc comic movies). And as i've been reading manga i've been noticing how manga has a big influence on american comics and american comics seem to have an influence on manga. So which one was created first? Note that i mean american comics with all the super hero stuff such as marvel,dc,etc

Where can I read Final Fantasy manga online without downloading?

I've noticed that manga are based off of video games such as legend of zelda, fire emblem and metroid. I was wondering if there is a manga for final fantasy and if so where can I read it online without downloading?
