I have been drawing comics ever since I was in 2nd grade. Now, the ones from 4rth grade and under are in safe storage and mixed up, but the ones from 5th grade to 7nth are organized in folders. Now, in 5th and 6th grade, when I would fill up one side of the paper with a comic, I would start to draw on the other, meaning there would be thick pencil drawings on both sides. Now, these drawings are 2-3 years old and they mean a lot to me, and recently they started to smudge. Some of them I have trouble reading. What can I do to preserve these drawings? I would like them to last a much longer time than 3 years. There are around 300-400 of these comics (a lot of drawing, but my poor grades at the time show that) Also, 7nth grade to now have only 1 side and they don't smudge.
Please note that there are over 300 of these comics, maybe even over 500. Buying fixatives would be into several hundred dollars for EVERY one of these comics. I need a cheap and fast way to do this. Thanks!

Anyway, which one would be best for coloring pictures like that?
I draw video game characters, anime/manga, and sometimes comic/cartoon characters, by the way.
You'd probably find PS easier to use if you're not experienced with either one. Most if not all of your examples were made in PS.
Photoshop is a bitmap paint program (like MS Paint). Great for natural textures and quick effects.
Illustrator is a vector editing program. It is good at creating sharp images with smooth coloring. However, you have to learn how to work with Bezier curves, not easy for first-timers. Everything in Illustrator is based on these curves (which can be refined at any time), while Photoshop works directly on the canvas (you have to erase or undo any mistakes).

My Improv Troupe has been booking really great venues in LA, we haven't had a new promotional pic in about a year. I hate picture where people are trying to be funny so I avoid those at all cost. But we have new shows and I need to make new fliers and posters quick. You can check out our previous ones here:
I would love to see you perform to get a better concept (kinda hard because I'm outside the US), and you're right, people looking funny not necessarily is.
So why don't you go to the opposite direction? Maybe you should use a very serious image, like the performers of classic music, something that people won't relate to your acting style.
Or maybe you can give a hint of the wide range of your performing skills, with each of your troupe dressed as one of the topics you touch during your shows, like a politician, a doctor, a wife, a student, etc.

Let them learn on someone else's dime. One possible exception: if they really seem fabulous, and you have a tiny budget and not a lot at stake, it may be a wise compromise.
4. Last-minute substitutions that are not up to par - we all know that "life" happens, but like any professional production there are understudies and substitute performers are well trained and talented that should be available in case of an emergency. Particularly in the case of a Rat Pack show, where the three principles are vital to the success of the show.
5. They're not flexible or adaptable - not every situation is the same, and quite frequently some flexibility is required for some aspect of the engagement. Most situations can be dealt with in a creative and professional manner, so any excessive complaining, whining or "diva-like" behavior should raise some red flags.
6. Not getting everything in writing - Clarity is power, so get everything in writing, including logistics, pricing and payment, hidden charges, travel, dressing room, riders, contingencies, show requirements, venue requirements, meals, props, etc.
7. Show is appropriate to the audience - Different strokes for different folks, and you'll want to make sure ahead of time that the show is tailored to the crowd, for example they may want to clean it up a bit for a corporate crowd (hey, this IS a Rat Pack show, after all!).
8. You're not clear on communicating your needs - How you want the show run is actually in your hands. It is up to you as the client to tell the group what you need, what you don't want to happen, and how they could accommodate your preference without compromising the entertainment the show has to offer.
9. Rehearsal time for the musicians included in fee - Not a problem if they bring their own recorded music (their playback needs should be in the rider), or if they're using a live band, they bring charts and include rehearsal time for the musicians in their fee.
10. You can use their promotional materials - Performers should have promo materials for your use, such as posters, images, videos. Many have "press rooms or media rooms" on their websites. Also, see if they will assist in promotion via media interviews or promoting to their database.
