    I’m guessing when you say the book Frankenstein you mean the one by Mary Shelley. In most of the movies and other interpretations, the <i>monster</i> is called Frankenstein, while in the book its name is not ever really stated. The monster is "the monster", and the creator is Victor Frankenstein. Also, in a lot of the different versions, the monster is stupid. In the original book, he is uneducated, but after listening in on a family and reading books, he becomes intelligent. There’s a ton more, but those are the only two that I can think of currently… As for your sources, I’m comparing the original book and cartoons and tv show references I’ve read throughout the ages, and Young Frankenstein.     well, the book doesnt have an Igor. nor does it happen in a laboratory. its like a professor at a college i believe that creates him in the book.
