Like many other people this has to be one of the best, if not, the best part of FFVI (or III as i originally played it). Not only did it add something new and inspiring that wasn’t in many other games it was key in introducing my favorite character, Setzer! Although looking at the lyrics, they’re not that deep or anything

    @llaffer
Hey! Setzer is amazing, That so-called “Treasure Hunter” ruined it

    Astounding. Just absolutely beautiful.

  • Salnax

    That was beautiful Celes.

A wonderful tribute to one of the most powerful pieces in all of video game history. This whole scene was way ahead of its time back in 1994 (almost 16 years ago!). Watching both the original rendition and this production never fails to give me chills.

    Bravo — wonderful work!!! *Applause*

Having heard this on “20020220: Music from Final Fantasy”, I was honestly waiting for it to bust into “Grand Finale?” with Ultros and everyone else to ruin the opera. :)

That doesn’t change the fact that this is brilliant and very well done. This game needs to be re-released on a home console. It would definitely stand the test of time and will introduce those of the current generation to an incredible story and game.

This is absolutely stunning. Thank you so much for doing this, I’m going to go power-up FFVI now.

Incredible! Always wanted someone to take the audio from the concert CDs and animate the sprites to it, fantastic work!

Obviously the anvil took a lot longer than five minutes to push.

I hit the Favorite button with the fury of 1000 goddamn rhynos, jesus christ.

This is outstanding. FFVI was the best of the series. None of the other FF games could ever evoke as much emotion as FFVI.

I still prefer the original “Oh my hero, so far away now” lyrics though.

Oh, and here I was “knave of the western hold!” (and “I would die before that take part!”). Still my favorite vocal part.

  • JubeiTajishima

That was astonishing. Thank you so much for sharing!

This is fantastic. Ceres’s parody of her own longings brings me to tears every time.

I do miss the sweeping rise of the orchestra in the original following Maria’s first set of lines.

Still, reminded me of times when Final Fantasy was good.

This was fucking amazing. I want to save this video to show my grandkids it twenty years down the road. Wow.
