How do you feel about the Death Of Captain America?
It certainly saddned me, What do you think will happen? Will there be another Captain? Do you think this is a way for comics to reflect reality?
cdf-rom - I disagree with the analysis of Comics not reflecting life. Art and life run parallel and are often similar (many comic books replicate world events, Civil War is similar to to feelings of many Americans that feel things should be 100% regulated or not)
Nevertheless you back up your answer well.
I mourn for America’s loss. It was a loss of a hero, and will be the loss of some rapidly dwindling innocence, if they replace him with a more violent “grim and gritty” anti hero. We don’t need that. I am afraid that they may very well put some phony in the Captain America suit, however.
Comics are not meant to reflect reality. Those who feel otherwise should write novels, not comic books. It is screwing with the genre, to its detriment, and possibly to its destruction.
